MORE Crafting to Share and Sell!

I want to eventually start selling my crafts.  But, first I need to A-work on my skills, and second, I need to develop a good supply of what I want to sell so I can take pictures to show what is available!  This is what I do after work lately...

This little piggy stayed home.  Ha ha.  I saw a picture at Michaels of farm animals and decided I would try it out.  I'm actually pretty proud of it...the cow down below kind of fell apart sadly.  I thought it started out cute though!

These are some of my products thus far.  The bow needs a ring underneath it...all the craft stores have failed me.  Those earrings need to be finished too...oops.

Here is the unfinished cow.  I had to go searching all over my house for a tool to pierce it's nose holes.   

I rolled some flower pattern canes...they morphed while I rolled.  I need to perfect this technique a little.

These are 2 of the pens I was working on pre-baked.  They were supposed to be small flowers all over.  Oh well...I'll settle for girly camo.  The one in the back has already been rolled to fill in the white space.

I Love Crafting SOOOOO Much!

Old spaghetti and applesauce jars.  Pinterest said to use glue but puff paint works so much better!

My sister is having a baby girl so I promised many many headbands!  They are SUPER easy.  Tops $6.00 for these 3 cute ones!

I found an old wooden craft frame I never finished and painted it gray and added rosettes to it!  I'm liking it...just needs a photo.

I finally sold my Dirt Devil vacuum to a gentleman on Craigslist.  Perseverance guys!  It's been on Craigslist for 7 months and no bites!  The guy didn't even try to haggle.  Goodbye Dirt Devil.  Enjoy your new home.

I have obtained so many rolls of ribbon.  I HAD to organize them somehow.  I decided to break a plastic hanger, put the rolls on the hanger and duct tape them back together.  I'm excited...again! :)

My Husband is Amazing!

Today is a glorious Saturday.  The weather is beautiful!  We're watching general conference all day so we'll probably just be cuddled up on the couch together.  I love cuddling with Jordan.

I fit into the crook of his arm so perfectly! Gosh, I love this guy.  Yes, today I feel like being sappy.  Also, crafting!  I am making some headbands for my sister's baby now that I know she is having a GIRL in early August.  I'm making these fabric flowers now, and just need to add them to a headband. :)

 Lately we've been consumed with this show, The Walking Dead.  I found some funny photos and thought I'd share them.  (They're pretty bad quality because I took a photo of them on the computer screen.)

 This one doesn't make sense...I guess I didn't notice this when I was watching.

Staying Home Gets Old

I am so sick and tired of being sick!  (Not tired...I've got plenty of sleep).  I have had a sub for my class the last 2 days.  It's irritating because I know exactly WHY I'm sick.  My kids!  They are all disease carriers and no matter how much sanitizer I use, and herbs I take, I still inevitably get sick!  And, when I get sick I either have to be miserable at work all day long or call in a sub and leave detailed plans for him/her.  Today is even my favorite day of work for the week because my class has 2 specials so that means more prep time.  ARGH. 

Well, since I'm home sick...it's time I had a Twilight marathon!

I LOVE being Mrs. Roth!

Life is amazing.  I've been married for almost 6 months now!  I've experienced so many ups and downs since then...mainly because of work and my birth control...more on that later though.  It's picture time!!!

This is me totally excited because I'm done with work and my husband is coming to pick me up!

 

 

I look forward to the chocolate festival in Glendale in February every year...especially because they have chocolate covered cheesecake which ROCKS!  It was mighty chilly this time.  P.S.  See those super cute yellow sunglasses on my head that I bought for my wedding??  Ya, some punk kids totally stole them out of our car a week ago...I'm pretty peeved about it still.  Maybe not so much about the sunglasses which were from Target, but I'm sure upset about my stinking PRESCRIPTION glasses being taken?  Seriously.  WHO does that!  (We know it was kids because they didn't even take the emergency bag in the bag that had jumper cables/battery charger/gloves/etc in it).  If I find out who did it, I will go grab them by the shirt and give them a piece of my mind!!!

 

Pinterest has me trying many new things these days...this is my homemade Nutella and jam pop tart!

 I was at Kohl's searching for some more slacks for work (Jordan thinks I look like a weirdo with my oversized ones)...and one of my FAVORITE shirts ripped...sad day...

This is yet ANOTHER Pinterest DIY craft.  A white foam wreath covered in red yard and pink and white felt hearts for Valentine's Day.  I love how it turned....I'm not going to lie, I am pretty proud of it!

 

 

So...like I said, life is good...it will get even better when this week is over and then subsequently the next 2 weeks because that means that it will be Spring Break!!!!!!!!  I need some time off badly!

Post-Holiday Depression

Hey guys!!!  Well, the holiday/no work time has officially ended.  It's the end of MLK day and I have less than an hour left of freedom.  Oh, how I wish to HIGH HEAVENS that May 23rd (the last day of school) would come super fast.  It's getting exhausting keeping up with 26 second graders.  I have a new found respect for teachers of any age group.  It is much tougher than parents will EVER realize.  When parents say I'm being too mean, I wish so badly I could say to them, "You be the teacher for one day.  See how YOU fare!"   ...but I can't say that.

Holiday fun today was an amazing hike, followed by a trip to the San Tan mall to return Jordan's jacket that didn't actually keep him warm...you failed us Eddie Bauer!

Then, we stopped at Caketini for some cupcakes...they looked and sounded SO good.  Sad day, they disappointed both of us.  This is a picture from another blog.  We tasted the Decadent Duet (choc. and peanut butter) and Salted caramel...both not awesome...I could make WAY more flavorful for LESS than $3.75 a piece!  Too bad...it looked amazing!

Woah. We have Been SUPER Busy!

            Sorry.  Could NOT be helped.  As a new teacher, I only dreamed about how busy I would be.  I've been much, much busier.  The work is relentless.  I leave work at 4:15 almost everyday and I STILL am not finished.  Sometimes it makes me a grumpy person my husband can attest to the truthfulness of that.  The last thing I think about before I fall asleep is something related to school work.  The first thing I think about when I wake up in the morning is also related to school.  It's exhausting.

             When telling my mom about this, she said, "welcome to parenthood".  Then I said, "Oh gosh, if this is what parenthood is like, count me out!"  It's just alot to handle right now and I need a break, like, a real good break SO bad.  I'm so excited for the next 3 weeks to go by!  I pray that it goes by fast.
             Tomorrow a student teacher is coming to watch me.  I know it's not that big of a deal but I'm still nervous.  I hope it's not a train wreck of a morning.

On a lighter note, Jordan and I have been having a grand old time being married (when I'm not working).

Jordan and I on the Tower of Terror at Disneyland for our belated  honeymoon...I really didn't want to go on the ride but I bit the bullet because he did.  That was a REAL scared face!
